Pierre Residence
During my role as Lighting Designer at George Sexton Associates (GSA), I had the opportunity to lead the design with the support of George Sexton and David Cyr from Schematic Design. The lighting was meticulously designed to showcase an impressive collection of historic artifacts and art work. Our clients chose GSA for our specialized expertise in museum lighting design, each piece is illuminated to perfection. We collaborated closely with the architect, allowing us to create an integrated lighting solution that enhances the architectural beauty while providing the flexibility needed to highlight sculptures, paintings, drawings, furniture, finishes, and more. Experience a space where art and design come together in harmony.
The lighting design features a sophisticated layering of architectural elements including a perimeter recessed two-circuit track lighting system, seamlessly integrated with cover plates that match the ceiling finish. This is complemented by an indirect cove that provides a gentle wash of light on the venetian plaster walls Additionally, recessed accent lights and wall washers enhance the overall ambiance, while millwork integrated lighting serves functional task purposes. For display purposes, museum-grade case lighting incorporates a fiber optic system alongside recessed adjustable lights with customizable beam spreads.
